猶如烏雲暗夜中 剎那閃電明亮顯
如是因佛威神力 世間偶生福與慧
Just as lightning illuminates the darkness of a cloudy night for an instant, in the same way, by the power of the Buddha, occasionally people’s minds are momentarily inclined toward merit.
Alternatively: "Just as lightning illuminates the darkness of a cloudy night for an instant, by the same token occasionally people's minds can have a momentary propensity for meritorious deeds through the power of the Buddha."
人生最大的任務是死亡
世界上最大的敵人是(我)
The biggest task in our life is death. The biggest enemy in the world is oneself.
苦是我們最好的老師，它會讓人找解脫之門。
Suffering is our best teacher which compels us to find the path to liberation.
尋找心靈的自在要用寬廣的心去找。如俗語說，『抓賊要想如同賊』。
To reach inner freedom, we must search for freedom with an OPEN MIND. It is like the saying, "To catch a thief, one must think like a thief."
歸依的三寶：佛、法、僧。
Three jewels of refuge: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.
說話的三寶：請、謝謝、對不起
Three jewels of communication: Please, Thanks, and Sorry.
學習的三寶：聆聽、接受、思維
Three jewels of learning: Listening carefully accepting, and contemplating.
人心的三寶：真實、善良、寬容
Three jewels of the heart: Sincerity, Benevolence, and Mercy.
人心不穩 智慧不足
人體大病 業障深重
A mind is unstable due to the lack of wisdom.
A body is plagued with chronic disease as a result of a bad and heavy karma.
此有故彼有，此生故彼生，此無故彼無，此滅故彼滅。
It exists; therefore the other exists. It is produced; therefore the other is produced. It does not exist; therefore the other does not exist. It is extinguished; therefore the other is extinguished.
一切行無常 說諸受皆苦;
緣此生厭離 向於解脫道。
All conditioned things (or entities / objects) are impermanent;
So, says the Buddha, all sensations lead to suffering.
As such, one may grow weary, renounce the world,
And progresses towards the way of liberation.
多聞能知法,多聞能遠惡,多聞捨無義,多聞得涅槃。
Extensively listening will help one to know the Dharma.
Extensively listening will help one to depart from evil.
Extensively listening will help one abandon non-beneficial activities.
Extensively listening will help one to attain Nirvana.
Or
Expanding knowledge to understand the Dharma
Expanding knowledge to ward away evil
Expanding knowledge to abandon non-beneficial deeds
Expanding knowledge to strive to attain nirvana
照顧自己的心等於照顧一切，因為一切為心造。
Taking care of one's mind is equal (or akin) to taking care of
everything because all phenomena are mere appearances of the mind.
錢可以買鐘但買不到時間，
錢可以買床但買不到睡眠，
錢可以買房子但買不到家，
錢可以買書但買不到智慧，
Money can buy a clock but not time,
Money can buy a bed but not sleep,
Money can buy a house but not home,
Money can buy a book but not wisdom.
瞋心如同炸彈隨時都可能會爆炸, 所以別人不想靠近你。而不是不喜歡你。
Anger is like a bomb any time could explode, therefore people are afraid to close to you. Not because they don’t like you.
解脫唯依於自修。
Enlightenment is fully rely on one's own cultivation.
Or
Rely only on one’s cultivation for enlightenment
Or
Enlightenment is fully reliant on one's own cultivation.
六度波羅密義在心，不在事多少。菩薩行若多若少，皆是波羅密。
Practice of six perfections is base on one's mind, not base on how much deed you accomplished. Whether the Bodhisattva engages in small work or big mission, they all are practice of perfections.
Or
The practice of the six perfections is based on one's mind and not measured by the extent of deeds you have accomplished. This can be exemplified when a Bodhisattva engages in either a small task or an enormous undertaking, both of which are considered as practicing the perfections.
若多淫欲，多修不淨觀。
To remedy attachment,
contemplate ugliness.
若多瞋心，多修慈悲。
To remedy hatred,
contemplate Loving kindness and compassion.
若多愚癡，多觀因緣法。
To remedy ignorance,
contemplate on interdependent origination.
若多嫉妒心，多修平等心。
To remedy jealousy,
practice equality.
若多慢心，多修自他交換。
To remedy pride, practice
exchanging yourself and others.
若多邪見，多請教善知識。
To remedy wrong view,
learn more from the spiritual master.
or
To remedy wrong view, acquire more
knowledge from a spiritual master.
以佛,菩薩和祖師們的教法來說，我們明確的知道，修道上慈悲是非常重要.
Through the teachings of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Patriarchs, we can see that loving-kindness and compassion are very essential to the practice of the Way.
自己的人(家人）很難度因為他太了解你了。 如果你要幫他，不用講的方式而要做給他看。
It is very difficult to convince one's own family members to practice, because they know you inside out. If you would like to convince or help them, you will need to lead with action.
生命的目的是以佛法來淨化我執的心。
The essence of life is to purify the
notion of SELF with the help of the Dharma.
佛說，業力不可思議。怎麼說？比如說沒人想要做牢吧，還是有無數的人在做牢。（業力不可思議) 。
According to the Buddha, karma is beyond thoughts and imagination. For instance, it is perplexing and inconceivable that prisons are full of people when clearly it is a place to avoid. . (Karma is inconceivable)
無所得是最大的布施。
The greatest generosity is non-attachment.
萬法性空是最好的藥。
The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything.
看破現象是最大的智慧。
The greatest wisdom is being able to see through appearances.
瞭悟無我是最大的成就。
The greatest achievement is selflessness.
隨時正念是最好的戒。
The greatest precept is continual awareness.
放下一切是最好的禪修。
The greatest meditation is a mind that lets go everything.
為了超越瞋心要有慈悲而不是瞋心.
Hatred never ceases by more hatred but rather it can be counteracted by loving-kindness and compassion.
我們造的業連佛也無法為我們消除。
Even a Buddha cannot change that which we ourselves have created.
我們應該幫助別人。如果幫不了至少不要害。
We should strive to help others. If we cannot help, then at the very least we should do no harm.
